On September 1, 2021 UCI was one of the first eight campuses in the U.S. to adopt the Okanagan Charter as a guiding and aspirational document to become a globally recognized Health Promoting University. Since then, a multidisciplinary leadership team has been working on infrastructure and strategy to move the initiative forward under the name Comprehensive Wellbeing Initiative (CWI). This Town Hall will be the first opportunity to fully introduce the initiative to the campus community (students, faculty and staff), and share what the initiative is all about. Come find out how UCI is rapidly becoming a global leader and model campus on what a Health Promoting University really looks like. The event will also be broadcast virtually and recorded, so a separate Zotmail will be coming out with all of those details.
April is Alcohol Awareness Month! During Alcohol Awareness Month, we’ll be exploring various topics revolving around alcohol use, dependence, recovery, and how to drink responsibly.
Join us on Ring Road, Wednesday April 12th, 19th, and the 26th from 1:00-3:00pm, for some competitive and fun activities, such as cornhole and giant Jenga. Each week we’ll also have a different Alcohol Awareness activity where you can come test your knowledge about alcohol use. We’ll cap it all off with our grand finale on the 26th with free (limited) mocktails!
